Outcome & Ambition.
Task 12:
Our task this week involves evaluating the success and failure of our Industry Set project and how we addressed the demands of the brief. We need to reflect on what worked, what didn't, and what we would do differently next time.
Learning Objectives:
LO1: Research — Select and deploy appropriate research methodologies to inform the needs within a project.
LO4: Distil — Position a creative strategic insight that has been distilled and refined through an informed investigation.
LO5: Imagine — Deliver appropriate and innovative ideas that embrace risk, have contemporary relevance and question the boundaries of the discipline.
LO6: Make — Select and utilise relevant tools, skills and technologies in the delivery, iteration and sustainable production of an outcome.
LO7: Collaborate — Demonstrate inclusive and empathetic strategies to plan and execute a project across distributed collaborative situations.
LO8: Design — Realise a final solution that evidences its strategic journey and clear relationship between form and function.
LO9: Communicate — Communicate effectively in a range of contexts and situations to specialist and non-specialist audiences.
Successes + Failures:
In terms of my success, I am genuinely pleased with the overall outcome of my project. It was a challenging journey that required tremendous effort and dedication, but in the end, I can confidently say that I gave it my all. Initially, I faced significant challenges, but through hard work, I found my muse and learned to trust my instincts, which significantly contributed to the success of my project "Shift." This project proved to be more than just a design endeavor; it became a catalyst for shifting people's perspectives, creating a positive impact beyond my initial expectations.
Regarding areas where I fell short, I believe my cause could have been even more powerful if I had chosen to print my outcomes and witness people's raw reactions in person, rather than sending them a digital file. Unfortunately, time constraints limited my ability to carry out this aspect, and I regret not having more time for it. The essence of my self-initiated project lies in its interaction with people, and to maximize its impact, I am committed to printing my outcomes even after the deadline. This way, I hope to observe how my project manifests in real life and assess its genuine impact on people.

Feedback:

This project has been such a great inspiration to me. It shifted my perspective when looking at the simple things around me. The idea where the artist created a typeface using the unnoticed things around us was very impressive and influential.

This project is like no other; it has served as an eye opener. It shifted my perspective and made me realise that even the little mundane items around me matter.

The idea behind the project makes someone realise the importance of the small things in someone’s life as it shows how the human-being needs more than he could think of. Made me realise that i have been attached and connected to more products that i should be, and the more new products are produced the more poorer you become. Have less, don’t guarantee anything you have, and be grateful.
Self-Reflection:
The Industry Set module turned out to be tougher than I expected. It took me a long time to choose a topic I liked, and the initial idea for my project was too complicated. I struggled with Artist’s Block for weeks, feeling stuck and unable to be creative. But, by taking risks and looking for inspiration, I managed to get past it. I was happy to see the positive feedback on my project. Many people said they started focusing more on what they already had instead of what they lacked. This made me happy because my project raised awareness about this and helped people change their perspectives on life.
Personally, this project was really important to me. It transformed my life, making me a better person who appreciates what I have and stops worrying about what I don’t. I know that I went overboard with my project. According to the brief, I was only supposed to submit a poster, a digital element, and a touchpoint. However, I wanted to create as many outcomes as possible to prove my point and reinforce the idea of shifting perspectives.
